Confidential Shredding

Capital Region Service Commission’s Solid Waste Division (SWD) continues to offer confidential shredding to residents and businesses, but its method of operation has changed following the COVID-19 pandemic and continues through today.
Customers are asked to bring their documents for shredding to the SWD site, located at 1775 Alison Blvd., Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
SWD used to collect documents on a call-in basis, but the program has changed.
The fee for confidential shredding is 33 cents a kilogram. SWD asks customers to bring their documents in sealed boxes for confidential reasons.
