Capital Region Service Commission approved the 2026 annual operating budget for 2026 for its Solid Waste Division’s landfill operations.
Regular garbage tipping fee will increase to $109.00 per metric tonne. Construction and Demolition (C&D) material will increase to $45 per metric tonne. All other prices will remain the same, and materials deposited at the recycling facility will continue to be received at no charge.
The following are the 2026 tipping fees:

• Regular Garbage – $109.00 / metric tonne
• Construction & Demolition (C&D) – $45.00 / metric tonne
• Tires – $100.00 / metric tonne
• CFC Disposal – $32.00 + taxes per unit
• Asbestos – $140.00 / cubic metre (minimum charge $750.00)
• Pressure Treated / Creosote Timbers – $350.00 / metric tonne
